When a celebrated local chef and his wife set out to create a space where cooking, gathering, and family life could happen seamlessly, they partnered with our Precision Homecrafters to bring their vision to life. The result is a family-friendly chef’s kitchen that blends professional-grade function with warm, everyday livability (it’s attached to their playroom!) perfectly tailored to a young family who loves to cook, entertain, and be together.

The original U-shaped kitchen was cramped, isolated, and unable to support the flow this family needed. By incorporating the adjacent playroom and removing multiple interior walls, we doubled the usable kitchen footprint and fully connected it with the home’s main living spaces.
At the center of the new layout is a 10-foot island designed as the family’s natural gathering point—complete with seating, lounge space, and a beverage refrigerator that keeps entertaining effortless. Nearby, the former breakfast nook now serves as a homework and craft area for the homeowners’ twin girls, allowing them to stay part of the action while still having a dedicated workspace.
